From F1 Racing to Clean Tech Leader: Breaking Industry Barriers and Tackling Next-Gen Challenges
This year’s Honorary Degree recipient Caroline Hargrove, Sc’89, will deliver a special address to students, faculty, and alumni.
Take advantage of this unique event for the Queen’s community (alumni, Faculty, staff, and students): learn about Dr. Hargrove's journey, experiences and strategies as a woman and noted pioneer in engineering.
Dr. Hargrove began her career as a lecturer in Engineering at Cambridge University before breaking industry barriers at McLaren Racing, where she developed real-time simulations and the first F1 Racing simulator. Caroline is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from Cambridge. She received a CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for services to Engineering in 2020.
Dr. Hargrove is currently the Chief 91ÊÓÆµ Officer at Ceres, a leading developer of high-efficiency solid oxide fuel cell and green hydrogen technology, a previous CTO at Babylon Health, and a Non-Executive Director at Zedsen, a med tech start-up.
